Each lockset ships complete with the latch, strike and trim for one door. Keyed functions include two keys. The door, frame and hinges are not included — order them separately or call us for a complete door package.

Which function do I need?
- Keyed entry
- Key outside, push button inside. Offices, tenant and apartment doors.
- Privacy
- Push-button lock inside, emergency release outside. Restrooms and bedrooms.
- Passage
- Latch only, never locks. Closets, corridors, connecting rooms.
- Classroom
- Outside locked or unlocked by key; inside always free.
- Storeroom
- Outside always locked, key retracts latch; inside always free.

Lockset & deadbolt FAQ
Are these locksets fire rated?
Yes. The 7201 lever lockset and 7204 knob lockset are UL listed for 3-hour fire door assemblies. The 3501 deadbolt is not fire rated — check your local code before adding a deadbolt to a fire-rated or egress door.
Will these fit my door?
The locksets fit standard ANSI 161 cylindrical door preps with a 2-3/4" backset and ship with a 4-7/8" ASA strike. The 7201 lever fits doors 1-3/8" to 2" thick. Our cylindrical prep steel door slabs are prepped to take them. They do not fit a mortise lock pocket.
Which lock function do I need?
Keyed entry for offices and apartment doors, privacy for restrooms and bedrooms, passage for closets and corridors, classroom for classrooms and meeting rooms, and storeroom for doors that must stay locked, like mechanical and storage rooms.
Lever or knob lockset?
ADA-compliant openings in public and commercial buildings generally require lever handles, so choose the 7201 lever for those doors. The 7204 knob is a cost-effective match for residential and multifamily replacement work where a knob is already in place.
Do keyed locksets come with keys?
Yes. Keyed functions ship with two SC1 (Schlage C keyway) keys, a common keyway any locksmith can rekey or duplicate.
