Welcome to Universal Fireproof Door Co., Inc. (“UFD,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our website — www.ufiredoor.com — or purchasing our products and services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before placing any orders or using our site.

1. General Information

Universal Fireproof Door Co., Inc. is a New York–based manufacturer and installer of steel and fire-rated doors, frames, and related hardware.
By using our website or purchasing from us, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and these Terms of Service.

2. Products & Services

  • Stock items (standard sizes and designs) may be eligible for return under our Return & Refund Policy within 14 days of delivery.

  • Custom or made-to-order products are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.

  • Product images and descriptions are provided for reference only. Actual color, finish, and specifications may vary slightly.

  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products, pricing, and promotions at any time without notice.

3. Orders & Payments

  • All orders must be paid in full before production or shipment unless approved for credit terms.

  • We accept major payment methods including credit card, ACH, or business checks.

  • Sales tax applies to orders shipped or installed within New York unless a valid resale or exemption certificate is provided.

  • For Net 30 accounts, payment is due 30 days from the invoice date. Late payments may incur interest or suspension of service.

4. Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery dates are estimates and may vary based on production, material availability, and freight conditions.

  • Customers are responsible for inspecting all shipments upon delivery.

  • Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported within 48 hours to Sales@ufiredoor.com.

  • UFD is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other factors beyond our control.

5. Installation Services

When using UFD for installation:

  • All work is performed by licensed and insured installers.

  • Customers must provide site access, power, and clear work areas.

  • Any rescheduling or cancellation must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid additional fees.

  • UFD is not responsible for hidden site conditions or structural issues outside the installation scope.

6. Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our doors and frames.

  • Stock doors carry a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Custom fire-rated doors are covered under UL and manufacturer-specific warranties.

  • Warranty does not cover damage from improper storage, installation, misuse, modification, or normal wear and tear.

To file a warranty claim, contact Sales@ufiredoor.com with proof of purchase and photos of the issue.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • UFD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use or installation.

  • Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service in question.

8. Intellectual Property

All website content — including logos, photos, product descriptions, and designs — is the property of Universal Fireproof Door Co., Inc. and may not be copied or used without written permission.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Any personal information you share is handled according to our Privacy Policy (available on our website).

10. Changes to Terms
