What does Universal Fireproof Door sell?

Commercial steel doors and everything that goes with them: steel door slabs, welded and knock-down frames, complete door units and door hardware. Everything is manufactured or supplied from our New York shop.

Do I need a slab, a frame or a complete unit?

If the existing frame is in good shape, you only need a door slab. For a new or damaged opening, order a frame too — or a complete door unit with the door, frame, hinges and lockset together.

Cylindrical or mortise prep?

Cylindrical prep takes a knob or lever lockset through a round bore. Mortise prep has a pocket cut in the lock edge for a box-style mortise lock, common on apartment and commercial doors. Match your existing lock, or call us and we'll help.

Are your steel doors fire rated?

Our in-stock steel door slabs are 90-minute fire rated. For a fire-rated opening, the frame, hinges and lockset must also be rated for the assembly.

How do I get my order?

Pick up at our Brooklyn or Brentwood, NY warehouse, choose NYC delivery, or ship LTL freight nationwide.

Can you make a custom size or install the door?

Yes to both. We build doors and frames to spec in our New York factory and install with our own crews across all five boroughs. Contact us for a quote or contractor pricing.
